Q & A

Where will we be staying?

Housing will be in one of the many B & B’s in our village.

What should I bring with me?

Each student should plan to bring her own sewing machine, sewing light, and basic sewing kit (scissors, pins, needle, neutral thread, a 5″ or 6″ embroidery hoop). Past attendees told us to tell newcomers to be sure and bring a pillow or cushion to sit on, as the chairs get harder in all-day classes.

If there is a problem in bringing your sewing machine, let us know and we will try to help.

Where do we eat?

Once they get to Arrow Rock, most students don’t want to leave so they can spend more time together visiting (some even use that time to stitch!).

Boarders get breakfast Wednesday-Friday, while commuters do not. Lunch, drinks and snacks will be provided to students throughout the day at Brown Chapel, as will evening meals, except Thursday evening (when we go out to a restaurant with each person paying for her own dinner).
