Dear Quilt Camp Ladies 2007May 26, 2007 Dear Quilt Camp Ladies, Another week flew by fast for me. It tells me that I was having lots of fun and hope you were too. The unpleasant weeks seem to drag on forever, and the fun ones like Quilt Camp zip by. You were a great group. Patient and eager to learn and have fun. I wish I could have spent time getting to know each of you better. Such varied and interesting backgrounds. It is fun to watch the new gals sort of stay back and take it all in at the beginning, but we all turn into a happy sisterhood by the end of the week. Give them another week, and they might have been in cahoots with those Marshall girls. I did not get a survey printed this year for you to fill out, but if you have ANY suggestions or complaints, please let me hear them. That is the only way we can improve. Finally heard back from the director of the Schoolhouse, where we will have our classes next year. It will be the third week in May after all. Mark your calendars for May 12-16, 2008. I think that is the day after Mother's Day. Kaye and I both have spring shows and events, and it just helps us to have it pushed back to the third week. I will try to get the brochure printed soon so you know what Teachers & Classes will be offered. It should be on the web too, as soon as I inform Scott. We spent last Sunday going through hundreds of pictures that Scott took this year, and Sally Gaines so thoughtfully took last year. Thank you Sally! We had to cut out lots of them, but the rest of the Quilt Camp Photos will be on our website soon Enclosed find some of the Recipes that we served you last week. Think we will have to eat out more next year. We are outgrowing our little house, kitchen, and recipe box. Thank all of you for coming this year. I loved having EVERY ONE OF YOU. I have heard good comments about the classes, and also the mini-classes. Let me know if you did not get a print out for Shirley Cash's presentation. She has sent more. Also, please find enclosed one FREE ticket for the Marshall Quilt Guild opportunity quilt. I put your name on the other end of the ticket. Good luck! Please stop and say Hi if you are in AR this summer. I have given you all the info on how to find us either at Arrow Rock or Marshall. One of us usually goes to Marshall every day or so. Both phones have an answering machine. Happy Stitching, Betty Sue Simonson |
