Teachers & Classes
Our teachers & courses will be:
Betty Lenz
Marshall, MO
Betty is a veteran teacher and multi-talented winner of large quilt show contests including Houston Quilt Market, Paducah, IQA, PA Heritage Quilt Show, & many, many others. Her quilts have been published many times. She has taught for a number of years with her focus on hand applique, crazy quilts, and paper piecing. When not quilting, she loves to garden and cook for Jack, her husband. Her enthusiasm is contagious!
Betty will teach Dandy Needle Book. For all those pins and needles that seem to stray when not stitching! Each book will be personalized so there is no mistaking your stash when getting together with your group. And you'll have a great reminder of your week at Quilt Camp!
Kaye Moore
Louisville, KY
Kaye has had her own business for fourteen years, and spends lots of time vending at major quilt shows, attending about 15 per year. She has been designing and publishing her own pattern line for several years with an emphasis on folk art and also clothing. She has great experience in designing and working with all types of fabrics, especially cotton, flannel, and wool. She says that she enjoys playing with her grandchildren and cooking for her very understanding husband, Bob.
Kaye will teach Another Wool Project. She always comes up with an unexpected, fun-to-do class. This year she is designing a penny rug especially for Quilt Camp, using felted wool and no telling what else. Her projects are always a hit!
Gloria Krumsiek
Gravois Mills, MO
Gloria is multi-talented in the quilt world. Her love of fancy handwork in quilt projects is well known, and has commanded big dollars in charitable silent auctions. Her special interests include crazy quilts, redwork, and silk ribbon embellishment for quilts and clothes. She is the past President of the Missouri State Quilt Guild. Her favorite color is orange.
Gloria is teaching Crazy Quilt Post Cards. Gloria shared her beautiful cards with us this past camp, and everybody was anxious to learn how to make them. The cards can actually be mailed and it is a lucky person who receives one, because they are so special!
